Certified Modifiable File Management

The intricacies of managing the modifiable files of numerous different types of documentation is the key to ensuring the integrity of the published versions. Without the strict management of the modifiable files, there is disarray in authorizing who has access to modify files, and what is to occur if more than one party needs to modify the same file at the same time. Particularly in the engineering sector, there are additional requirements for managing drawing and 3D model files and their references. This profession will ensure that organizations have the rules and processes in place to manage the varying control levels fit for the types of documentation modifiable files.

Associate

The Associate Certified Modifiable File Manager has been educated in the fundamentals of all divisions of documentation management, vendor documentation, engineering documentation, software requirements, and corporate governance documentation. They have the ability to support the function of managing modifiable files for all types of documentation under the supervision of a professional. This certification includes appropriate qualifications in MS Office, fundamentals of quality management, and the ability to professionally resolve conflict in opinion surrounding the implementation and management of procedures.

Professional

The Professional Certified Modifiable File Manager is proficient in creating the rules and processes required for managing all modifiable documentation types, including the establishment of the software system, securities, and chains of custody. This professional will ensure all modifiable files are managed appropriately for the type of organization and situation. The professional is also trained in the fundamentals of general project management to ensure any implementation or improvement project is successful.
